Redshill is nestled at the foot of the Lammermuir Hills in East Lothian, one and a half miles from the picturesque conservation village of Gifford and six miles from the county town of Haddington. Formerly part of the Yester Estate, Redshill has been farmed by the Tait family since 1963.
Redshill is mainly arable growing barley for malting and a small amount of wheat. The permanent pasture is grazed by a neighbour.
Over the past years Redshill has diversified in several ways. Agricultural contracting began in 2000 and the Old Farmhouse Bed and Breakfast began in 2008. In 2015 Redshill welcomed Lothian Lavender.
Ian and Gill Tait run the farm with their son Grant. The Bed and Breakfast is run by Ian and Gill, whilst Grant is in charge of the Contracting Business . Grant married in 2014 and his wife Sue is in charge of Lothian Lavender.
